Sweeper "Brushes"
The brushes are a bit difficult to fit but that in in the overall design of the system. These "brushes" are in fact strips of tough plastic material arranged to provide a sweeping action when fitted to the Power system. They slide into the centre holder in a simple manner and access is from the side of the individual brush holder. To gain sufficient access to allow the brush to be slid into position the retainer pin and washer must be removed (pin) and slid along the shaft (washer) to allow the individual brush holders to be similarly slid along the driveshaft. This small movement will be sufficient to slide all the holders along the shaft as they are fairly loose, Remove the pin and slide the washer at each end of the shaft and with the holders slid towards the ends, progressively remove the old blades and refit the new ones. Replace the washers and use new pins when completed. The new Brushes will be much longer than the old ones and you must adjust the machine to only lightly brush and sweep the grass because if set too heavy brushing, will break the new brushes within a short time.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Yellow brushes for Westwood powered sweeper
Two of the three questions above dont apply, so good start. The brushes appear to be ok but only time will tell. They replace brushes that are at least 5 years old and have lasted well. So perhaps ask me again in 12 months time if they were any good. Nightmare to fit due to the brush bar being too long for the bearing apature, this is a mower fault not a brush issue however.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good replacement brushes
Remove collector, turn up side down, then remove 5mm hex head bolts from both ends of the brushes spindle. Once free, easy to remove individual brushes and replace with new. Took about an hour, then had lunch!

Westwood brushes
