Great replacement for problematic Shimano brakes
These brakes are an excellent replacement for the problematic Shimano Altus brakes that were on my older cross trainer. Although the Shimano brakes still worked, they sometimes did not retract correctly because of broken plastic spacers on the return springs. Of course, the spacers are no longer available, so you either need to try to fix the spacers or replace the whole brake assembly. I chose to do the latter, and I'm glad I did. These Tektro CR-510 brakes are perfect replacements and don't require any modifications. No more broken plastic spacers!
