A good product
This blaster arrived in good time from ordering, and was put straight into use, it does have cheap water system valves ,which make it unlikely to last very long, but these are easily replaced, there is a design fault I feel in the flow adjustment valve, to adjust this you have to reach under the machine to adjust flow with the gun active, I will modify the control to be at the top of the tank with a rod down to the flow valve. Handy portable pressure sander. - NOW
Firstly replace valves if you want to hold pressure - make sure everything is loctite sealed - I went to a pipe & hose outlet who helped me turn it into a very handy unit.... Another tip I ended up running my kiln dried sand through a filter to remove tiny stones because they blocked at the base - I also changed the sand delivery hose to a clear one so I could see if it blocked..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good value, used for walnut blasting Carbon Cleaning engine
Good value grit blaster, comes with all the basic features that you need to operate the blaster. I purchased this grit blaster for de-carboning my Audi TFSI engine, a common issue with these engines (and some BMW’s)ni is carbon build up in the intake ports and valves of the cylinder heads. Made a 1/4* lance to replace the ceramic tip and applied fine 25/52 mesh walnut media which worked perfectly, completed blasting all 10 intake ports in about 2hr’s. Looking forward to applying this blaster again but with course grit for another job. The blaster was easy to set up and to operate, I used my 3hp air compressor and this seemed a good match, giving lengthily bursts of blasting.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very pleased with this, what a great price, easy to assemble, was blasting within 30 mins of opening the box, others are selling this for over £100, cant get over the price with free shipping!!! typical build quality, but it does what its supposed to do, would recommend this, removes rust and paint with ease, Im using kiln dried sand, cheap from my local builders yard, going to build a small room so sand recovery will be easy, recommend getting a air fed mask, and protective clothing, as the sand does come back at you!!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Does job but skill needs to be developed to use properly
The equipment is okay. The difficult pipework was already assembled which made assembly easy. A large capacity compressor is required or you will spend 2 minutes blasting and longer waiting for compressor to catch up. No instruction manual is supplied to explain how to use with different media. Only instructions are Health & Safety,how to build and vague capacity of different nozzles. It took me a good 2 hours of usage to find the best combination of how much to open valves and in the right order. Important to load with enough media that comes above the lower tanline of the cylinder for the blaster to work, meaning at least 5 kg of media will be left unused in the blaster. Media must be dry or it will clog. Otherwise it did a good job for little money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good product for the price
Bought this to blast a 16 foot trailer. A LOT of blasting, the good points: It does an extremely good job that couldn't be achieved with a grinder/wire brush. Water filter works very well, stops most water entering making the sand damp Easy to fill with supplied funnel Reasonable sand usage Works with kiln dried paving sand, although you really need a full face mask running on supplied air due to the fine dust that is produces, do NOT use cheap painters masks if you use sand. 3 days solid working time now with only minor defects Came pre-assembled The Bad: Air/Sand valve on end of hose started to leak more and more and after 2 days blew a hole in the side of the valve (cheep steel) Picked up a new valve, about 6 quid and replaced, though even this one is starting to leak. They just aren't made for high pressure sand. Sometimes have to give it a shake as the sand sometimes stop feeding, although I found keeping the tank 3 quarters full helps, with the weight pushing down on it. Not a bad piece of kit, a little temperamental balancing sand flow it has a tendency to block the valve if you try to run on a low flow but a quick wriggle of the handle and she is off again , I have been using it for motor cycle parts and it is great.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
