  • Great For The Price Range

The Yamaha P45 is a well built user friendly digital piano. It has 88 Keys which are graded hammer action. It has 10 sounds with 2 of them being Grand Piano and the other Piano sound being a bit brighter sound wise. I bought this a couple of weeks ago and once you start practicing you find it hard to stop. I did look at other Digital Piano's but in this price range they didn't really compare with the P45. It is larger and heavier than i anticipated and not the cheap plastic build that you come to expect with lower priced keyboards, if you want that real piano feel then look no further than the P45. You will be surprised as i was.

  • A Top Quality Piano for a Novice.

The Yamaha P45 was dispatched to me within a couple of days of ordering, with good advice updates on delivery progress. I was initially surprised to see it was made in China, as Yamaha is a Japanese company. Piano came well packed and with a clearly written manual. It is simple to alter settings and the sound is superb. The touch sensitivity can be adjusted, but it works well enough on default setting. It is a joy to play such a fine piano and I love it. Registering with Yamaha was also easy, but the enclosed leaflet is now defunct. My only criticism is low output volume, and found piano volume needed to be on maximum. 6W output is paltry. A review I saw said it was easy to connect to any amplifier, but the manual makes no reference to an amplifier, and there is no Line Out socket. A quick call to Yamaha confirmed my belief that an amplifier is connected via the Headphone Socket. I connected my old Rogers 25W amp and bookshelf speakers with a cable quickly sent from Amazon, and the sound now is perfect. Conveniently, whilst the internal speakers are muted, the piano's volume control is still operable, so volume control is still within convenient reach. As an OAP learner, I very much hope that this instrument will do me for the rest of my life, and I hope for many years of trouble-free playing. I am very proud to now own a quality instrument. P.S: There are some alternative sound modes, and the Pipe Organ is spectacularly good. There are also some pre-recorded samplers of playing modes and demo tunes.

  • Great quality sound and weighted-key ‘feel’ to this Yamaha P-45 keyboard

I bought this for my partner as a significant upgrade to the 64-key keyboard he was using for practice when he couldn’t get to my house to play his piano, which is where we are storing the piano whilst building work goes on at his place. He hated the old keyboard, it was painful watching him forcing himself to practice in it and there was a lot he couldn’t play with only 64 keys. The Yamaha P-45 however, sounds fantastic and he can’t seem to stop playing it! He can play pieces he wasn’t able to play on he old keyboard again and rather than force himself to play, it is no longer a chore and he is absorbed in the authentic piano sound quality of the keyboard and feel of the weighted keys. Overall we’re delighted with this keyboard :-)

  • Great purchase

I bought this keyboard because I wanted the most affordable, closest to a real piano, with good sound quality, this one ticks all those boxes as I didn't want to buy twice. It has 88 fully weighted keys that sound just like a real piano, perfect for learners preparing for exams.

  • Great piece of kit for the money

Whether you're new to music, or an experienced player, this, for the money, is excellent value. I've been playing for a while now, albeit, I did have an upright, but my current place is too small, this is perfect for my room, and sounds like a grand piano. Loud enough to not annoy the neighbours but can be plugged into an amp if they get on your nerves :-) A good all rounder in my opinion, I would recommend. Rimmer music who I purchased off, get a 5 start rating too.

  • Sounds and feels fantastic for price!

It has the real feel of a piano, with weighted keys and feels and sounds really good compared to my other keyboards. Bargain price, could not believe it was that cheap new, less than second hand ones, well done musicroom!

  • Fast efficient and exactly what I ordered and hoped for.

Excellent weighted keyboard which we bought whilst we can't bring an acoustic piano into the house. Bought without testing it or anything like it and very happy with the feel. More than a placeholder though admittedly not the real thing. Arrived within 2 days.

  • Yamaha P45 digital piano

This was a present for my 13 year old daughter. I am really impressed with the quality of the piano, it looks good, it sounds like a piano, and feels like a piano when you press the keys. It has all the 88 keys that a piano does, altogether a really good piece of equipment and perfect for someone to learn the piano on. Would definitely recommend it.

  • Great digital piano

We had a little problem with the sustain pedal not doing its job properly, which is resolved for the moment, hence the 4 stars. Other than that the Yamaha p45 has been amazing - its sound and feel are very realistic and it has already brought in many enjoyable moments at home!
