Best bang for the buck
This router package offers everything you need to do just about all routing jobs. The refurbished package I received is like new and works perfectly. The bit depth fine tuning works like a charm and allows me to set the bit depth perfectly. The router motor offers plenty of smooth, consistent power that I was lacking in my previous router. My projects most often include oak, maple, and several varieties of exotic hardwoods. This router provides the power fine tuning I need to work with all of them. This package is great for regular, fixed base routing, for plunge routing using the plunge router base, and for router table use by attaching the fixed base to the router table. Battered and bruised
I opened the box to find my carry case full of saw dust with loose parts rattling around in the case. Can't tell if anything is missing. Owners manuals were Xerox copies stapled together one of the electric wires had a cut through the casing. This doesn't look refurbished just used and they took a quick inventory and through in what they thought was missing. Looks and runs like brand new!
Can't guarantee the same for anyone else, but the set I received looks like brand new. No scratches, not even any sawdust anywhere. So I suspect this one was just a customer return. The router runs well, though I haven't actually had a chance to use it yet, while I wait to build my router table. All parts that were supposed to be included were, and the baseplate don't even have scuffs or scratches, so I'm sure either this wasn't used, or everything has been replaces. This router is fanastic for both beginners and professional users alike. An extremely powerful router that's easy to use. Easy and quick access to the chuck when changing bits. Not too heavy and no vibrations which is especially important as a female user as I'm able to easily control the feed rate. Great Router
I have used Ryobi for more than 20 years and after using this one I am sorry I didn't buy it sooner. This is probably the best router I've ever used. I would absolutely recommend it to someone. Could tell there were some replacement items: new base plates, new power cord and plug, new handles on fixed base, new grips on plunge base, manual looked new, and it came with the same warranty as new.
