    Save mess

    Always use bags for joints,whole chicken or turkey. They work extremely well, save lots of mess, especially in the oven. These large bags are perfect for large joints or whole large chickens or turkey.

    Unsuitable for temperatures over 200 degrees C

    This product may be OK for cooking joints of meat but I wanted the Roasting Bags to bake sourdough bread in at 230 - 250 degrees celcius. The product description on the packaging revealed that the bags should not be used over 200 degrees celcius ... so they were useless for my purpose. I feel the product description (rather than the product) was inadequate and they may well be fine below 200 degrees.

    Brilliant - use them for any meat I cook in the oven, as it saves cleaning the oven. Sausages, pork, lamb, chicken - I roast everything in the bag. For chicken I make a couple of holes in the base and roast on a rack, as usual. All the yucky fat then drains away.
