Gives complete control to the handler.
I have used the Halti on two dogs for over ten years the original wore away the clip so ordered a new Halti. The new one is just as good didn’t need to alter anything fit perfectly. I ordered a size large for my Black Labrador bitch. Definitely stops her pulling and is easy to fit. It gives control over her head when she reacts to other dogs who act aggressively towards her. Finally something that works! Relief!!
So far it seems up to the task although appears a bit flimsy. Not a quick release. Unlike previous figure of 8, head collar/lead, this is not garrotting dog. Has reduced pulling considerably & not easy for him to remove, despite best efforts. I feel a much greater sense of control & with strong, highly reactive, male GS, that’s a major concern. Good product, well made, and it works.
I've used this product years ago with my previous German Shepherds, and it worked well. For my current GSD I tried various "Halti style" head collars, because they were cheaper to buy. They worked to a point, I could lead my dog by the head, but I thought she wasn't very comfortable with them. So, I bought an original Halti, and I can see she's happier with it. It fits well, it's lightweight but well made, and it's more comfortable for her because it doesn't have any unnecessary metal rings on the cheek straps. I'd definitely recommend these head collars for any dog that pulls on the lead. They're well worth the money.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
