Portable, powerful & (near) perfect!
DC59 Animal. A great piece of kit! Wish we'd purchased this years ago. Title says it all....Portable, powerful & (near) perfect! Near perfect, only because it's gets full quite quickly (probably as the wife's rubbish, hates cleaning and never vacuums the house properly...), and needs to be emptied 2-3 times per use, but to counter that, it's easy to empty and the hand-held is amazingly lightweight, ergonomic and very powerful, especially in boost mode. The 20 minutes charge is more than sufficient to get the entire house done in one go. The tools and attachments supplied are great and all do their specific jobs really well. Most impressive of all - the kids love it (really!) and fight over who's turn it is to vacuum - yeay! Mr Dyson - I take off my hat, sir! I work from home 99% of the time, I even find myself secretly vacuuming my home-office whilst the kids are at school and the wife's out having a jolly with her mates, flirting with the Barista at the local coffee joint, or whatever it is they do. ready to go anytime
this is very lightweight and easy to use has very good suction you will need to have a electric socket next to where you are going to position the hoover as it needs to be plugged in all the time to keep its charge I can do my whole 3 bed house on one charge it is simple to empty by just pushing a lever and emptying straight into the bin the accessories are easy to change cant really fault it in any wayVerified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

Best vacuum ever!
I have severe back pain & reduced mobility & bought this as a lightweight alternative to my DC40. I didn't expect it to be as powerful but thought it would be adequate for a quick tidy. How wrong could I have been! Not only is it light & easy to use but it does a better job than the DC40 & in less time. It came with 4 tools & also takes the tools that go with the DC40. I charged it fully before use & then went through every room in my 3 bedroom house without any loss of power. Dyson DC59 is a real animal of a cleaner.
I have recently bought a 5th Wheeler, a cross between a caravan and a motor home, and found that my Vax vacuum cleaner was too big and awkward to use. The company who sell 5th Wheelers here in the UK recommended the Dyson DC59 as the machine they use when attending exhibitions. Flexible and easy to use
This little machine is as effective as using a full size cleaner but much more flexible and versatile. The battery is good for cleaning the stairs and living rooms without further charge. The flexibility of the tools is great and the ease of removing hairs from the brushes is helped by the easy method of taking out the brushes. Good so far.. hope it lasts longer than my DC34 which broke just after it was 2 years old and out of warranty...
Really pleased with my refurbished DC59, my large DC33 has been packed away and is unlikely to be used again. The DC59 can clean my 4 bed house with a single charge and is super light and easy to use. Hope it lasts longer than my DC34 which only lasted 2 years and just out of warranty.. its a real shame these cordless units do not come with 5yr warranty like the full size mains powered dyson units.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

friendly monster
They ran out of DC59s so they sent me a newer V6 model. Its not quite as solidly built as our earlier model and a little fiddly to empty but otherwise an outstanding machine. The larger powered brush heads are a godsend. You can thoroughly clean rooms in minutes. We are disposing of our larger cylinder Dyson as this friendly monster is capable of taking over its duties. A new generation
These cordless Dyson's represent a new generation of Vacuum cleaners. Suction is good and the portability makes for an all round house cleaner (we use it to clean plaster work on the ceiling!) Battery time is short - and this takes some getting used to. Suction (using MAX button is incredible, but it vastly reduces charge time). Does its job fantastically well. Easy enough to empty but dust does stick to the inner piece so its not good for a thorough clean out of the bin. It does also take a while to charge. However with those bad points out of the way. There is plenty of good stuff. Running time is pretty decent given the power of this thing and its enough time to get your cleaning done out of the way. Like all Dyson, it'll pick up dust and find plenty even within surfaces you've just hoovered with something else (a Henry :).
