This dial caliper is Made in the USA and is accurate. It works great and was well worth the $100. that I paid for it. If you're looking for a dial caliper and it is made in China, stop looking at it. Buy European and American made measuring equipment. Japan's Mitutoyo is also worthwhile, but if you live in the USA, buy American.
