happy scoops
Very happy with these bins for the dog food, the accessibility with the top means it's easy to get at the food and the scoop slides onto the lid keeping it easy to use and put back. The bins are light weight so if I need to move them when full I can. Not up to the job
This is made of flimsy plastic so doesn't feel sturdy enough to me, but the main problem is that the lid doesn't fit tightly at all. There is no seal round it, so if the bin was knocked into the whole thing could tip over and all the contents would fall out as the lid would just fall off. I bought it for storing dog kibble and have done so as I needed a container quickly but I have had to stick tape all round the join between the lid and the container, and have hidden the container well back under a table with other items in front as I'm worried that if my dog gave it a bit of a shove he could easily tip the food out. I have another container that I bought years ago shaped like a barrel with a zip-up lid which is amazingly strong and dog-proof but I can't find one like that any more.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I don't usually write such detailed reviews as this, but i just had to express how great This pet food storage container ready is. It is THE BEST I have purchased in a LONG time! It is big enough to hold 15KG of most dried dog/ cat food, & keeps it airtight & therefore as fresh as when first opened. Also there is a handy (& FREE!) scoop attached to the inside of the lid, to dispense the correct amount of food each time. It does just the job
It does what it says, it is a good kibble/dry dog food storage. People moan here that it is not excellent quality, does not have a seal around the lid etc., well for the price, what would you expect? Should you want something better, you'll have to pay more. I am well happy with this, its in a storage room, does not let the smell out either, does its job, lid can be open easily, I did carry the whole lot (topped up with kibble) for about 20steps and it did not fell apart. Better Than I Thought It Would Be.
I will admit that, when this container arrived, I was convinced that it would not hold the entire contents of a 15 kg bag. How wrong was I? It did easily. It is much more attractive than the sacks that the food is in when purchased and tucks neatly away in a corner. Although the description says that there is not a scoop, there was in the one I received and it slots in on the inside of the lid. This bin easily holds a 16kg sack of flour (which is what I bought it for). The lid fits snugly and has a clasp. It’s shape means it doesn’t take up much floor space. Bought two of these containers this month to store dog food in the garage to stop the pesky mice having a nibble. They are well constructed with a snap shut lid and a rubber seal to keep the food fresh.
