Can't Beat Google
This camera works great, I have three and a Nest Doorbell now. With the Nest Aware subscription it offers facial recognition and other cool features. Camera is well made, I'm not sure if they are worth $180 new so I bought them used from eBay and saved a couple hundred dollars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Does not integrate with any smart home system
The camera, itself appears to be OK. The only exception is that the power cable was designed backwards. The major problem is that you cannot use this “Nest” camera with the “Nest” app. You have to use it in the Google Home app where its functionality and capabilities are rendered useless. None of the features available in the Nest app are accessible in the Home app. There is also an insane list of restrictions for setting up automations. So many, that every automation I’ve ever tried to set up gives you an error saying it’s not permitted. Even something as simple as turning the camera off when you’re home. Also, any integration that Google Home has with Smart Home applications hides this camera from them, so you cannot integrate it with anything. This camera is the worst purchase I ever made.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Fix the Nest App compatibility problem!
Great camera but is not compatible with the NEST APP. It’s only available through the Google home app. If you already have other camera that you view via the NEST app you will need to switch to Google home to view this camera. If you go to the nest website they suggest several workarounds but they don’t work. Seems this problem is unique to this battery/solar panel powered camera .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Works very well within the Google universe
Easy to set up and integrates well in the Google universe of smart products, wifi equipment and chrome cast which I own. It suits my needs perfectly. I set it up on battery outside my house. Focus and night vision not working
I have multiple Google Cameras and this one has issues with night vision and focus. Requested to cancel before purchase and was denied beforeshipping. Once received device was sealed but quilty once connected makes device seems to be used and damaged.

Will not work with Google Nest. Only Google home.
It is a Google Nest camera and it will not work with Google Nest? Only works with Google home. I have tried many times to get it to work, but it always defaults to Google home and not nest, which is why I bought it.
