David Mann (Dennis Weaver) is trying to drive his car across California. When he tries to pass a gas tanker, the driver somehow takes offence. At first the unseen driver just annoys David by continually passing him and slowing down. Then he starts playing mind games with David, tempting him to pass the tanker, only to prevent him when he tries. A fearless Journey... hopefully
First of Steven Spielberg's major productions. I was not aware of Dennis Weaver's passing in 2006 and I humbly give thanks to him. The movie (produced around 1971) is quite a breath taking thriller especially by today's so-called 'standards'. It is a genuinely must have experience and if you are privileged to own on DVD, even better. Rarer than gold. I gaurantee you will not be disappointed.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
