Product Information

Emotions run wild in the mind of a little girl who is uprooted from her peaceful life in the Midwest and forced to move to San Francisco in this Pixar adventure. Young Riley was perfectly content with her life when her father landed a new job in San Francisco, and the family moved across the country. Now, as Riley prepares to navigate a new city and attend a new school, her emotional headquarters becomes a hot bed of activity. As Joy (Amy Poehler) attempts to keep Riley feeling happy and positive about the move, other emotions like Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith) make the transition a bit more complicated.

    Great film for all ages

    Dvd is fun for all the family, our 2 year old loves it and so does her 85 year old Great Grandparents. It’s a godsend for me as it means I may actually get 2 seconds to make a cuppa or go to the loo if I put it on! Definitely recommend this as a great all-rounder.

    My least favourite Disney DVD

    Sadly this is not one of my top 100 Disney films, I just didn't connect with it at all and still think Joy's hair should've been red or orange to differ from Sadness. I saved this for Easter Day but was really not that impressed so unlike many of the Pixar & Disney DVD's I buy I'd not bother with this one . . .

    Funny film, I wouldn't say it was for all ages as I feel the very young won't follow or understand the story. A fantasy insight into the workings of a child's mind when faced with change, I've watched it twice already.

    Highly recommended

    This film was recommended to me as I work with children developing their emotional health. Younger children (under 7) may not get the message of the film but I think would still find it entertaining as would those who have no interest in this subject. The main characters, Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust are at the control centre of 11 year old Riley's mind. Thought provoking entertainment and definitely worth viewing if your child has difficulty understanding their emotions.
