  • For me best Garmin

I've never been a Garmin fan, no doubt the accuracy of the watches but they have always looked like they came out of s lucky bag or were so large and chunky. The Venu is that bit different. Looks great with the screen, battery good if not brilliant, lasts 5 days with a couple of 10 k runs and wrist twist on screen. Coros Pace 2 if you want battery life and great value. I came from that but was a very dull watch. Venu 2 doesn't have all the running features. Training tiredness is the main miss, but i never took notice of that anyway so no big for me. So if after a nice watch that is good looking and can do all the activities then this is a great option.

  • Apple to Venu

Having had an Apple series 1 watch for 5+ yrs I wanted something different as the newer Apple series from a design and battery point of view hadn’t changed much. The Venu 2 seemed to tick a lot of boxes with the AMOLED touch screen, circular bezel, a raft of well-being functions and a battery life that makes you wonder where you last put the charging cable. The Venu 2 has lived up to expectations but hasn’t surpassed them. The Apple watches are very well polished and a tad more intuitive to use, the Venu 2 is more focused though with a great Connect App showing a one stop shop dashboard to view your data whereas Apple is trying to be everything to everyone the Garmin is much more dedicated to using the sensor readings coming from your wrist. The Heart rate sensor is great, a definite night n day from the series 1 and the movement detection seems more sensitive/accurate too when viewing the health data (which you’re more likely to do as more focused and there’s less distractions with the data on your watch as well as in the Connect app). Overall a lovely watch to own and a step up in many ways from the Apple Watch but only in respect of well-being tracking and exercise functions. If you’re happy to give up a few of the Apple Watch’s phone on your wrist type capabilities then make the change, you won’t be disappointed. The Venu 2 plus is another option that bridges the gap further between taking the leap away from Apple but then goes in the cost comparison bracket of a Series 7. You’ll need to really want a change to step into the world of Garmin for that kind of money.

  • Very nice smartwatch meets fitness tracker with music

Lovely watch. The display screen is excellent. Much better than my old running watch. It's comfortable on. Strap is good. Lots of apps and metrics on health heart rate and loads of different activities. I run and it's fine for intervals and online coach too via Garmin Connect app on my phone. Only slight negatives. Battery will run down if you're listening to music and running it always on, but that's to be expected. Music has to be loaded via PC or laptop with USB cable. It doesn't yet have audio prompts that my Forerunner had which I liked when running. But overall its an excellent smartwatch and fitness tracker. Looks great and very light on wrist. It's a 4.5 for me.

  • A watch that fits the bill for the average person who multi trains!

Excellent watch, meet my needs, it analyses exactly what I require to monitor myself training including walking, running, swimming and weight training. It has training programs built in. The battery life is fantastic and to top it all off it plays tunes. All in all if you’re over 55 and require a watch to track how your doing, I highly recommend the Garmin Venu 2.
