After reading some positive and some negative reviews on here I decided to buy one of these for my front. I really liked the camera set up which wasn't too difficult after pairing with the WiFi and going through the necessary steps. After installation I didn't want to drill the additional 25mm hole for the RJ45 as I only wanted to use the WiFi signal so after reading reviews I read that carefully cutting it off and properly insulating (which isn't obviously recommended by the manufacturer) was a solution which wouldn't affect the WiFi. For the power supply I used a 16mm drill bit through the wall of course siliconed around the whole camera base to stop any rain water entering the insides of the camera and then the internal hole to stop any small possible draft.
Ezviz should look into making the RJ45 connection somehow detachable for customers who don't require the wired connection.
But after the full set up I was very happy with the Ultra HD picture which streams to my new LG TV effortlessly, the clarity is absolutely crystal clear and very impressive. I was also able to link it to my Echo show 8 in the bedroom which is also handy when I don't have my phone on me.
The app to me is very good, simple to use with the live siren and two way talk functions along with the simple record function you can use when you see footage you wish you save to your camera gallery on your phone.
I used the free weeks worth of Cloud play storage but then ordered a scandisk 128gb sd card to capture the footage which works fine.
I did originally buy a Samsung sd card 128gb but for some reason it wasn't compatible with the ezviz so I had to buy the scandisk sd card so be cautious when purchasing memory. I think the instructions do tell you about compatible sd cards but nothing about Samsung sd cards.
I can't recommend this little thing enough, I've also installed one in my garden. Again the only negative is the RJ45 connection which not all customers require.
Many thanks Ezviz 👌
