This is the only ryobi tool I would not recommend. Poor heat/performance and battery . Hair dryer is far more better for any job. CBS tools brilliant though, just an item I think ryobi should re- look at.

Just rubbish
Clearly not powerful enough and it drains the battery really quick, 5amp in 10-15 minutes. Because it's not powerful you can heatshrink 40 inches maximum with a 5 amp battery. Too big and heavy for 15 minutes of work. Useless.

More of a haidryer than heat gun
I was expecting too much from this. There is no heat settings. It does heat up quickly. But there is not enough heat.it is good for heat shrink tubing and that is it.
