It works
As with all Apple products it is expensive but generally good quality - in this case however it has a particular weakness hence my need to purchase a new unit. The cable tends to flex immediately adjacent to the magnetic connector and eventually disintegrates - be very careful when connecting/disconnecting. Simply visit the Apple website to see the number of complaints. Whilst the principle of immediate disconnection is laudable and does work this variation is not as robust as those fitted to older MacBooks and I have a couple that still function with my still working 10 year old + "white MacBook", As with most Apple products these older units do not fit the newer machines.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Inexpensive and works as it should

WILL BREAK BUT DECENT REPLACEMENT
When I charged it up the box gets VERY hot, and after a while I couldn’t even touch it! So after a few minutes I need to take it out to cool it down. The transformer box is a lot lighter than my original Apple MacBook charger too, so you can tell the difference. After 6 months of using it, it stopped working, so had to buy the official Apple one, which I probably should have done in the first place as I’m hoping this will last longer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good replacement charger
The Charger is not new, off course, but still perfectly functional. The packaging was not up to standard, because it was placed in a box that was to small to house it properly.
