Professional Results
I was very impressed with the superb results from using this product. My kitchen ceiling was in a terrible condition and simply painting it wasn't even an option. It would have been a complete waste of time and especially my hard earned money. After just two coats , all the scuffs , scrapes , stains and flaking paint were history. Just Incredibly Thick Paint
I bought this out of sheer curiosity as to how paint could create a textured effect My ceilings are swirl-artex, with a patch of flat plaster in one corner from a previous repair I mainly wanted to cover up a water mark, and as I said was curious as to whether the paint would create a ripple effect on the flat plaster and perhaps make more of a ripple effect over the swirls I really wasn't bothered about the overall texture, just intrigued The paint should be applied with a foam roller, which I did not have (thought I had bought one along with many other decorating supplies, but had not), I used a long-pile roller The paint is incredibly thick, comes out the tub in one big dollop, rather than pouring Went on well, and only required one coat, but no effect created on the flat plaster Perhaps using the correct roller would create an effect, but hard to see how The picture on the tub seems to indicate the effect is created by the paint being so thick and creating rows of peaks, like peaked icing on a cake, in a sort of ripple pattern Also, the product is advertised as covering cracks, but the tub advises any larger than a hairline must be pre-filled So, not miraculously-effect-creating, but good for coverage of existing textured surface If you buy this, be sure to use a foam or perhaps textured rollerVerified purchase: YesCondition: New
