Really nice upgrade stylus.
I bought this stylus after the original type for my record player became unobtainable. So a different cartridge and stylus was required. I wanted something that sounded good, was easily available as well as being not too expensive. The Audio Technica ATN 95E is just that. It's even simplicity itself to fit. Having changed the cartridge already it was time to put in the stylus and play my first disc with it. What a difference from the original, good clear strong sound with a real depth that I was unaware was missing from my old setup. I played my old Lp's all that afternoon. revelling in the great sound and being so glad that I kept all those old pieces of vinyl. I'm very pleased with it and can thoroughly recommend it. Works, but is it real?
Firstly there is nothing on this item to suggest it was manufactured by Audio Technica. The packaging contains no information and it only states it was "Made in China". I suspect it is a clone. Having said that it works, and was no more difficult to set up than any other cartridge/stylus I've used. As to it's fidelity, I haven't played enough to comment. I have heard that these styli need at least eight hours playing time to bed in properly, so I've have to reserve my judgment on that:-)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Great stylus! Horrible packaging.
It took me great effort in opening the box in which it comes. I was afraid I would break the needle trying to open it! It doesn't protect it well at all and a sticker keeping it closed would have sufficed. The stylus itself, however, is impeccable. Good value stylus replacement
When I purchased my Audio Technical turntable last year, affordable replacement stylus was an important part of my decision. Obviously on a decent priced entry level deck (of around £300) I’m not wanting to pay silly money for a stylus. This was easily the best option and seems to be the stylus of choice for a great many turntables. Sound quality is great, as well as a good life span.. very happy with the price. Always be certain you are getting a genuine ‘Audio Technica’ replacement and not a cheap equivalent for £5 cheaper (it’s not worth trying to save a few pounds), I was caught out by this... highly recommendable product..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Sounds Really Good!
I think it is better at retrieving details then the original. I received it last night put on my original Audio Technica ATN95E cartridge. I was amazed at the level of retrieved details from old albums that I know really well. I'm impressed! I was too fast about my opinion. After further usage I found the stylus to be defective. There was was some distortion in the sound due to poor workmanship. Save yourself some money and buy the original stylus.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good stylus but easy to damage

One of the best stylus on the market (unless your in the high end category).. sounds amazing on my Audio-technica turntable.
