A very useful addition to any tool kit.

A very useful addition to any tool kit. Compared to a battery powered "dremel" style machine this is powerful. Has a great deal of control over the speed which is easy to control while still using the machine. The wide range of accessories included in the kit makes it an excellent starter kit.

    Abysmal performance and quality.

Only purchased this product to replace my worn out Aldi brand rotary tool that I've had for 10yrs. This product is NOT a patch on the Aldi brand. This brand Terratek is slow on maximum speed and vibrates like hell, making intricate etching and grinding a difficult task. I'd avoid buying this brand altogether and stick with the well known brands or the Aldi supermarket brand for quality when it comes into store. Conclusion: Is this item worth £25, my answer is NO. £10-£15 max. Pro's: The tool kit is quiet comprehensive. Negatives: Cheaply made hand tool. Too slow on maximum speed. Vibrates your hand to the point of numbness

  • Don't be a cheapskate, buy a Dremell this thing is pants.

I was quite happy to receive this rotary tool for the price. Unfortunately on my first attempt to use it it got so hot I couldn't even hold it. Even worse than that was the smoke coming out of the motor. I had to open the doors to my shed to let the smell out. For the money I can't even be bothered to return it as maybe I can use some of the accessories that came with it. You get what you pay for and I got something that was useless from the beginning. The rotary tool will go in the bin and I will consider I paid 25 quid for the accessories.

  • Works fine

I bought this for working on glasses and cutting bottles. It works fine for the glass etching. The only slight problems are that, because it’s a little chunky you might need to cut bottles in pieces so that you can make a straight cut. The tool touching the bottle means that the cutting disc doesn’t cut perpendicular to the bottle. Not a huge issue though. The other small thing is that my polishing wheels don’t attach to the mandrel, they just fly off as it spins. Because if that I’ve just been using the bullet point one and I could probably replace the mandrel cheaply if wanted to.

  • Good value for the money

Still getting used to using this rotary tool but the drill part works well. Been trying the sanding disks which have a habit of coming off the rubber mounting but i think that's me needing to getting used to tightening the bit collets correctly etc. But so far so good and good value for the price.

Good enough for my inept modelling projects. I'm building a space shuttle from grass and a life sized Ferrari from guinea pig food. The little tools are handy and there are lots of them. Some are better quality than the others. Mainly bought for home dentistry so all in all a good little Dremel type thing for the money. Fun to use as well.

  • Works well and excellent value for money.

A well made rotary tool and comprehensive toolkit. My only slight criticism is that the rotary hand tool could perhaps be more ergonomic in design. Overall 9 out of 10.

  • Did what I bought it for. Time will tell if it's a good buy.

Good price. Only time will tell if it was a good buy or false economy. It seems okay. The big drawback is the lack of decent instructions: you have to work out for yourself how to mount many of the fitments. I bought it to cut some brass sheet, which it did with no problem.
