Excellent product at an excellent price.
I did a lot of research before choosing these lights, and it's proved to be a good choice. The lights are well made, and well covered against the weather. Also, as described, they do have top quality solar chips, which does indicate a well made product. I like the fact that the batteries can be changed too, so the lights themselves should have a long lifespan. The angled top where the solar panels are is also a v.good design feature, allowing maximum exposure to the sun, and letting any rain roll quickly off the units. Excellent product. Time will tell on the lifespan. At the price, they are extremely good value. UPDATE: I've now tried them out, and, as reported in other reviews, the installed batteries are not much use. I've done the same as another reviewer, and replaced them with 2500mah batteries. This should upgrade the lights significantly so long as the solar panels are efficient enough to top up the larger capacity batteries. Replacing them is a bit of a delicate operation with the very fine wires and small screws, so I'm hoping not to have to keep taking them out to recharge them on the AA charger indoors. We'll see. With all that said, I still think they are very good value, and I'm happy with them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good as garden ornaments !
These lights are well made, good quality & probably very weatherproof. I am sure that, given a whole day of bright sun, they would give several hours of illumination, though I doubt 'dawn to dusk', as claimed. Unfortunately they do not charge enough during the day in winter, even with some bright sun, to last more than a few minutes after dusk. Garden / fence post lighting
Fittings where a little smaller than I expected,but do fit nicely on my fence panels.These fittings have been rated at IP 67 : IP67 means the unit can be dropped into a body of water up to a meter deep for half an hour, so thats impressive as most solar lighting fittings rate at IP 44 and usually last around 12 months if your lucky until the rain manages to get into the fitting.The only thing i would say is they don’t stay on all night and it’s August. Fails to illuminate long
This would work great in the summer with sufficient daylight to recharge the batteries in the day, which defeats the object, as I need light over steps in dark winter months, not light summer nights. I even changed the batteries for Duracell rechargeable and had placed on overnight charge! Good stuff
Tried it last night for the first time. Not bad. After 2 days charge (facing South, partially blocked by the roof), it started to shine from about 5pm to 11pm, as a pair of good "indicator lights", which showed where the door was in darkness.
