Capable, but not cheap
A great addition if you have a Surface/ Surface Pro plus keyboards, monitors etc. and get frustrated having to plug/unplug anything when you take the laptop away etc. Not cheap, but can be a useful addition if you can find inexpensive second hand ones. SImple but effective!
Enables me to utilise 2 large monitors when working on projects that need more clarity. Simple to connect and setup. Also find the LAN connection makes a big difference when downloading or uploading projects. This was a use if d unit, but the dock it self is in perfect condition. If you use a surface Pro (mine is a Pro X) and need to connect other peripherals or monitors, then this is a fantastic way to achieve this at a price that is less than half price (in my case). Another great productivity tool
I read some people saying they had issues with this when connecting 4 monitors, running an external HDD and trying to play a video game at the same time, but honesty, get it into perspective. If you want a docking station that will truly open the versatility box for your surface, then this is it. If you want a dock that will turn your surface into a gaming monster or Bloomberg machine, this isn't it. I have my external HDD connected, HD external monitor, phone charging cable and still have some ports free. Product works perfectly and turns my surface pro into the device Microsoft wants you to use it as. This enables screens, network, audio, keyboard etc to be plugged into the docking station which means one simple plug releases the Surface Pro to be disconnected from all devices at once thereby taking full advantage of its portability. Turns your surface into a workstation

Surface pro dock
At first it appears it doesn't do a lot more than no dock at all since it is easy enough to plug in a video cable and a usb wireless keyboard mouse... Dispite this I do like the product for the slightly cleaner desktop (less cables in sight). seems expensive for the small improvement especially if you buy new but I bought mine for £70 so not so bad..Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Excellent product but very expensive
I bought this because I wanted to be able to lift my Surface laptop off my desk without having to pull out lots of leads (my last laptop had a minimum of 5 cables to unplug). All that needs to be unplugged is the magnetic single plug which provides mains, extra monitor and usbs, etc) - and it just slips off easily. Excellent quality
I was using the original Dock, but was on my third one due to a failure to charge. To improve my setup, mainly due to video conferencing in the lockdown, I needed to setup 2 screens, which my Dock couldn't do. This one has been fantastic and a doddle to to install.
