LG 'Manual' TV remote control better than that 'Magic' thing
LG TVs are well made, within limits - we had one fail within warranty. The 'Magic' remote control is inteded to work like a 'wand-mouse', moving a cursor around the TV screen depending on where it is pointed. Unfortunately, the alignment goes 'off-beam' quite quickly and the 'wand' has to be held at an angle to where the cursor is located. This is counter-intuitive. The Magic remote also has to be 'paired' with the TV. The manual push-button remote works on any LG TV (even very old ones) - its only fault is that the buttons are too close together - unlike the Panasonic remotes - and buttons are thus hard to find in low light.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It doesn't need programming you just put batteries in and it's good to go. It looks like the original in terms of materials used. This is a great replacement remote for the price. I have paid more for different ones and some buttons haven't worked and the remotes themselves have a very cheap feel about them.
