Excellent sound quality over shadowed by continuous connection problems
Excellent sound quality over-shadowed by continuous connection problems. I have many other Wi-Fi devices and it is only the Sony devices(I also have a wi-fi blue ray player) that suffer with dropouts, not only when used with Wi-Fi but also Bluetooth and direct USB connection to a PC. A shocking and un-innovative Sony failure
The Sony wireless speak range, despite, it's quality sound is an absolutely shocking design. With reliance on both WiFi and Bluetooth and no independent user interface this goes down as my single most regrettable purchase ever! The transition to network based listening is one with great potential but the reliance on a smart phone to provide the input is a terrible design, resulting in constant signal drop-out on both Bluetooth and WiFi. Resulting in constant mobile battery drain and interuption every time an email, text or call comes in, the inability to utilise your existing music collection and a requirement for subscriptions to 3rd party music service providers. If you then add in the operation of these Sony speakers you will also find yourself resulting to alternate musical means. Totalling a spend of over £1500 for the 'pleasure' of having multiple dumb boxes across my house should have resulted in an impecible music experience but by purchasing these it's resulted in nothing more than expensive paper weights throughout my home. An absolutely shocking experience and one that should result in the sack for the Sony product management team.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
