Good product, but tough to adjust straps correctly
They have made the controls easier in this version, and the extra controller is nice to have. Only issue is that it was difficult to get the straps comfortable on my head. Still not quite right. Works well, but far too heavy to use for more than a limited amount of time.
While it works to help you get the sense of VR - the combination of the low-res display (even on a Samsung S9) and overall "holy cow this is heavy if you wear it for more than 15 minutes" feel of it, makes it a very limited use toy. Watching a movie or even long TV show, let alone extensive VR experience, and you'll just give yourself a headache. On the plus side, it syncs beautifully with the Samsung phone, and is easy to us. Can confirm, works with the Galaxy S9+. While a phone that can to 1440p give this a higher vertical resolution than the popular PC VR head sets they lack raw graphical rendering power. That plus the battery life and how warm/hot my device gets while play games makes me think this is better for movies and TV shows in a virtual theater.

Nice, but still plenty room for improvement
Although it is an upgrade from previous models, it still has much room for improvement. The screen door effect is still too noticeable. I didn't notice much difference in the comfort level of the newer model over the previous one, although it did operate without heating up as much. I have not yet gotten used to the hand controller. Somehow, it keeps sliding out of my field of view. Hopefully, I will figure this out in time. The actual field of view still needs to be widened if one is ever to obtain the sense of full-immersion VR. It currently feels claustrophobic. I found it much more difficult to set up than the previous version, and so far I don't like the interface as much as the previous one. Keep in mind that this review is being made after a single use of this headset, and I am hopeful that my experience will improve over time and with increased experience. My 2nd VR experience

A good headset for S9
Item came used but in the box as advertised. Shipping was much faster than estimated. kisting said controller batteries would need to be replaced and I did so right away, only to find that the gyroscope inside of it is broken and constantly drifts your pointer to the right, it is impossible to calibrate and will need to be replaced.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
