maintain your bike yourself easily with this stylish and quality item.
Fantastic piece of kit. All bikes should come with this from factory. The rear spindle for bikes that dont come with any means to lift the rear end should have this installed as it makes maintenance and storage a breeze. I have had a bike sit on one of these spindles for 3 months at a time and it works just as good as the day i bought it. Quality is fantastic and does not deteriorate even after many years being on the bike. Personally i like to lubricate the drive chain myself when its required and perform my own routine maintenance and this makes it a cinch. The only downside to this is that you cannot remove the rear wheel for a tyre change, but this doesn't happen very often. there are other ways to lift the bike and its more than likely that a tyre place will replace the tyre in my case. The spool also acts as a swingarm protector in the event of a drop or fall. Personally have not experienced this but have seen cases where it either does protect the swingarm and bits it can protect, or it doesn't do anything i.e. the spool doesn't sustain any damage to itself but doesn't harm anything on the bike and the damage is usually unavoidable e.g. fairings, indicators, bits that hang off the bike. Excellent product a bit expensive for 2 bobbins, a rod and nuts washers etc. I would have given it 5 stars if the fitting instructions were included in the package. The enclosed leaflet had a qr code and web address for instructions. The fitting instructions were simple, they could have been printed on the leaflet instead of web address and qr code.
