    Brilliant

This has been a lifesaver. My two labradoodles have black claws which never wear down. Because the claws are black I can't see where the quick is and over the last few years there have been several unfortunate accidents which resulted in my dogs and I being terrified whenever I got the clippers out! This grinder is wonderful - for the first time in ages their nails are nearly a normal length. It did take the dogs a little while to get used to the noise and vibration but I used a lot of treats at first and now they're fine. Three cautions though: 1. It is a little tricky to put together at first but persevere. 2. If your dog has long hair on its feet, as mine have, make sure to try and keep it out of the way of the grinder - it can get caught and 3. Only use it in short bursts (one or two seconds) as the nail can get very hot. I think the last two points are mentioned in the instructions. To sum up; this is much better than I thought it would be and I just wish I'd got one a long time ago (and so do my dogs).

    Definitely

This is simply a craft hand drill repackaged as a dog nail grinder! It is not in the slightest designed with a dogs sensitivity in mind, it's loud & highly likely utterly terrifying from a dogs perspective! Our 2 1/2 year old gentle natured Labrador who is usually not scared of anything is well not having that thing anywhere near her, least of all grinding her d-claws! She never, & I mean NEVER growls at any one or anything for that matter BUT THE WAHL IS growled & barked away, till I switch it off! I will be using it for craft purposes as was probably intended!

  • A great grooming addition.

easy to use everything you need to keep dogs nails short and conditioned, my girl was excellent first time i used this product on her, my boy was not cooperative at all but saying that he never is if he has to have anything done so not surprised, i would not be without this tool i think if you are a dog owner this file is a must.

  • recommended for anything larger than a handbag dog

Tried a battery grinder, which wasn't up to the task. This wahl set is wicked. Really works well and allows you to keep on top of claw maintenance. It's a little noisy but what you get inntrade off is a fast effective grinder with multipurpose attachments that work. I'm really pleased with this purchase. It's made keeping our large puppies claws short, neat and rounded off easy. If you have a medium to large dog this is the one. For a cat or tiny dog maybe a battery one could work but the two grinders are totally different levels of grinding

  • Great for my Dalmatian

My dalmatian is 11 with extremely thick long claws, with his old age road walking is minimal and I've always had problems with getting his claws to a decent length. It's a bit noisy so takes the dog a while to get used to it but works a treat, and no more cutting too short with blood everywhere! It's completely painless for the dog and gives a lovely smooth finish. Would recommend to everyone!

This dog nail grinder is good and the lead is long , so the only drawback is it gets in the way when you start cutting the dog’s nails, so if this bothers you get a cordless one, apart from that it’s a good thing with the spare attachments .

  • A good value, handy tool.

    1. It is important to have an electric tool; battery-powered grinders lack the power to cope with the tough claws of bigger and older dogs. 2. It is easy to set up. The noise level should not worry a normally-sensitive dog. The file-head does not need much pressure; too much will stop the head rotating. 3.All in all, this is a very useful tool with no downside that I have discovered.

  • pet nail grinder

this is a brilliant tool for dogs claws I have 2 Newfoundland dogs and their claws are very thick and using the usual claw clipper that was heavy duty left the claw jagged and I had to put so much pressure behind the clipping that the dogs ended up being uncomfortable when I used it ..so this tool is a major break through for me it leaves their claws in good shape with no splitting which ensures healthy regrowth and they don't mind it one bit.. the noise does not bother them at all... one of my dogs is long haired and the idea of putting a stocking over the foot and pushing the claw through makes it so much easier and it works! i would definatly recommend this product to all my newfi friends!

  • No more fuss!

My female Dalmatian was terrified of having her claws clipped for months. Although this product seemed expensive at first, I would highly recommend it as I now look forward to doing her claws... It’s actually therapeutic for both me and my dog! Gets rid of length easily and also includes different heads in order to get rid of any jagged edges. Absolutely fantastic!
