Durable, convenient, simple
I don't store a lot of recordings, and the 1 GB is plenty for my needs, especially since I mostly listen to FM radio. Has decent battery life and FM tuner. The voice recorder works in a pinch. Radio presets are a bit of a pain, but I set them and forget them. The main things I like are: light! remembers where you left off when it powers down; AAA battery can be replaced in seconds (I keep an extra rechargeable in my pack or pocket on bike rides and runs). I had my last one for many years and it finally started malfunctioning (it was beat up! I used it every day).
