This is an ointment and is NOT as good as Calmoseptine.
The price was great and the two active ingredients are the same as Calmoseptine (the latter is a paste in a tube, not an ointment), so we tried it. Our grandson used this ointment for several days, but the ointment caused an irritation that the Calmoseptine never did. We returned to Calmoseptine and the irritation is gone. There IS a difference in the non-active ingredients (and an ointment vs. paste). This product may work well for others, thus we rated it a "good value" (cheaper than competition), but we cannot recommend it based on the irritation that it caused. Check with your doctor to see if Risamine is an appropriate substitute; we wish we had.
