Great gloves for gardening too, these are tough gauntlets that provide max protection yet still flexibity enough to grip things. Welding gloves
Since some reviewers bought these to remove hot items from the oven, I decided to try them out when removing from the oven, a cast iron skillet for bread making. The temperature of the cast iron was 220 C. It did not give any protection to your fingers when griping the handle so I will use the gloves for gardening and purchase a pair which specify a particular high temperature protection.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Kitchen heatproof gloves
We've long used welders gauntlets in the kitchen as heatproof gloves, especially the ones with long sleeves. Godsend when pulling stuff out of a hot oven, or worrying about formal shirt sleeves over a hot pan. After a while they start to get oil ingrained in the leather and so lose some heat resistance, but they are relatively cheap to replace. I wanted to take a star off for the overwhelming smell but I'm using them to weld with, so it really makes no odds For £4.29 there are no complaints, they take a good bit of heat and abrasion.
