Convert from Escort at a terrific price!
I have had Escort detectors my whole driving life and they saved me many a ticket. When they started to get really pricey I decided to switch and this Beltronics at its price point is terrific. Great Radar!

Still a decent radar detector
Overall good radar detector for the money, however recommend units 2015 and newer. M4 platform a little more quiet than S7 platform and range suppose to be slightly better on K and Ka radar, haven't been able to tell the difference between the two. For laser alerts some vehicles with certain cruise control and the sun itself can set off an alert from time to time. Radar detectors themselves are not much protection against Laser you need a laser jammer which are illegal in some states. Do recommend if your on a budget otherwise Uniden R1 and R3 blows it away as well as most dash radar detectors in range.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Very good but it could be better
This product has greater range and sensitivity than my old cobra. I am mostly happy with it. However, it has the same problem when it comes to a Tahoe or an Escalade. The X band radar blows up and if your stuck by one, it wont go off. very annoying.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Extra eyes
I call this my "extra set of eyes" as the Beltronics RX65 is a great little tool when you're in a hurry. You still need to keep your eyes open for Police without radar on either timing or following you but it picks up speed traps, police behind you with radar, and usually give you plenty of time to get slowed down before you are seen. I say usually because if you are hit by a short burst, that cop could be close by, Very few false alarms. Factory presets work fine, so yes it's easy to use.
