Emergency phone older person
I bougjt this phone for my dad, as he was having problems hearing people on the phone. As he is partially draf in one ear, This phone has given him a new sense of freedom. As he can use the phone and hear people perfectly clear, with no static . He also liked the red light which shows incoming call, and dofferent levels of ringer volume. His favourite feature of this phone is the hands free speaker button , as this enables him to talk to people while he is doing other things. Ok, but not loud enough for partially deaf users.

Great for elderly among others
Bought for 84 year old elderly mum as she has arthritic hands and struggles with anything remotely complicated. She finds this easy to use, the volume is spot on and adjustable, there us an easily seen flashing green light on the 1571 button showing a message has been left for you. You can use it hands free if needed and would be very handy for hard of hearing. The receiver handset is comfortable and lightweight, big buttons easy to see and press, there is a battery low warning light and the ringer tone has 3 types with high, medium and low volumes.
