Makes me look like a professional plumber.
I have never used this type of tool before and it seemed to be very easy when I researched it on the internet ... I watched the on-line U-tube videos a couple of times before starting ... I didn't have anything to practice on so I did the job straight away without any practice ... The only mistake that I made was to use too much silicone ... I had to wipe the tool every foot or so ... It was easy to wipe the tool with bits of toilet roll which were put into a plastic bag ... The job was to put sealant round the bottom of a "quadrant shaped" shower base where it met the floor ... The floor is a Vinyl sheet material ... I prepared the job by first removing the seven year old silicone which took ages to get perfectly clean ... Getting the old silicone out of the joint (between base & floor) was worst ... I then squirted too much silicone on and used the 8mm part of the tool set ... Amazingly it was quite easy to do as long as you keep the tool upright and the flat edge forward (and wipe the tool regularly) ... I found this method to be far better and easier than the old method of using the soapy water spray ... So I give these cheap, easy to use tools a full five star rating as I got lots of "Brownie Points" from my Wife for an amazing job ... Didn't tell her how easy it was though ...
