Did no fit my cooker lid
Nothing wrong with the sealing ring. It just did fit my cooker lid but it did not create steam pressure , so in fact it was useless to me. The design spec may have changed to the original sealing ring. The material was a lot harder than the old one.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

The original and best gasket.
These are a consumable item as they harden with usage to the point where they no longer seal, so I always keep at least one in reserve. Don’t put these through a dishwasher: that hardens them very quickly indeed. As they’re consumables, I can’t claim that they’re durable. But I use my pressure cooker most days and tend to find that the seal needs changing about two or three times a year. So they’re acceptably durable. They’re not especially expensive, and non-genuine alternatives will only be worth considering when Prestige cease manufacturing these at some point far into the future.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Vintage Prestige Pressure Cooker now steaming happily.

Genuine manufacturers replacement.
This is a genuine replacement manufacturers gasket which has been supplied, however it is made from a different from the manufacturers original. With this in mind I cannot comment on the new gasket durability. Suffice to say it would appear to be a genuine manufacturers replacement, it fits well and it arrived in good time at a good price so cant complain about the new gasket.
