great countdown timer for water distiller
I use TES7 as a countdown timer for my water distiller and for this purpose it works great. It replaced my mechanical 24h timer which needs to be setup every time and is somewhat fiddly. TES7 needs to be configured only once and then - via a single button press - it starts the same countdown cycle every time. Marvellous! Setup procedure required a magnifying glass, strong source of light and a lot of patience, but if you do not change settings regularly it should be OK. Manual/Auto problem
Instead of having a button (bottom right) titled Manual, instead it ought to have one titled Override. It would simply override what the program has got set at that moment in time, or any previous press of the Override. After this, when there is a program change, the program should take over again. I'd already got a similar looking 7-Day Timer from Maplin but with 8 buttons, and with one titled "On/Auto/Off". This button does exactly what I want except I have to press it TWICE, every time I want to override, so that after any change I always leave it in Auto mode. I thought from the description that the Masterplug TES7-MPUK did this. I'm not interested in the Countdown function - everything on the LCD display is too tiny for this. I just want the Automatic Program Function (for which six programs is adequate), but just with a manual override operated from a single button, without having to look.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Works well once you've worked out how to program it
