like spreading butter
Used this tool to repoint brickwork on bungalow. Over and done in a matter of minutes compared to doing it by hand. Also cleaned out and regrouted tiles on worktops all in one day. Got to admit I was sceptical when I first looked to purchase the mortar gun, but I am more than pleased I did. Every attachment required to make the job easy. Just make sure that whatever mix you are using is made slightly on the wet side, as this makes for easier spreading. I would definitely recommend this tool to anyone for ease of use alone. Failed to work for me
The gun is just as described - well-made and sturdy, BUT with a standard mortar-mix plus plasticiser, it tended to allow only part of the mortar to be ejected from the nozzle while compressing and de-watering the remainder, making a nasty mess. Do not buy
Looks the biz but all it does is compress the mix and turn rock solid. Every variation of mix/ plasticiser made no difference,got better results using a prolly bag with a nozzle taped in .
