TRIED MANY BUT LEARNED MY LESSON LIQUIDATOR IS THE ANSWER!
I tried all the others the bombs the kits the professional stuff I almost choked on. & still the mites persisted. This stuff is safe to spray everywhere & also on the birds. That's the key. Another important issue is the ingredient IGR (insect growth regulator) for ensuring un hatched eggs & larvae don't survive the treatment then hatch later. As they do with other products. This 500ml concentrate makes up 10 litres. I got a couple of 500ml bottles Tesco fabric freshner empties or purchase a couple. Or if you need smaller quantity purchase the pre prepared 500ml spray bottle ready mixed. I found a measure for 25ml add to the bottle then fill with water to make up 500ml. Simple instructions on the back of the bottle. No strong chemical smell. Australian vets on You tube swear by this stuff. I also use their Scatt which is Moxidectin. Hopefully fab finches have it because I had to send to Australia for mine. Excellent treatment for air sac * scaly leg plus other mites.
