Solid construction, but needed and needs some modifications
When we were constructing it we had to plane off some of the wood on the droppings tray as it was too tight a fit to go in and out . Also we found it necessary to brace it on the diagonal to keep its shape in place and true. The top piece of wood that sits on top of the apex of the house does not fit properly and is far to loose It would be better if it had lip of wood at the base of the run in order to slip underneath the house thereby blocking off the gap that is there, which would prevent small rodents accessing the run and if the door were open, the house as well..Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

OK But Run Too Small
The main problem is that the run is totally inadequate for the size of the hen house, it needs to be at least twice as big even then it would only be big enough for four hens. The advert claimed that the hen house is big enough for 20 hens when you might get 8 at a push but more comfortably 6 hens. Construction was easy with reasonable instructions and I like the way the roof opens so you can check everything. If you are considering this hen house there is no need for nest boxes on both sides due to the number of hens it will hold so save yourself some money and but the model with nest boxes on one side only and use the money saved to buy an extra run.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
