A year after the death of her son Alex, Mary Towne is convinced she's seen him alive - and she wants missing persons investigator David Raker to find him. Reluctant at first, but haunted by a loss of his own, Raker eventually agrees. But as Alex's life begins to reveal itself, Raker discovers it wasn't the innocent one his mother believed. Compelling read

The first book by Tim was really gripping. Well thought out, lots of twists and turns. I started by reading Tims No: 8 book that my daughter passed on to me. I have since bought all of Tims books. I can't really say to much without letting the cat out of the bag, only that these are one of the best books I have read.

  • Most critical review

    Not his best book

A good plot with an unexpected twist at the end, but too full of graphic descriptions of gratuitous violence for my liking - I found it uncomfortable reading. Not his best book IMO
