This is a reprint of the book that was used in an Jaguar dealer's parts department so that customers could order parts. This Interim Parts List was the only parts publication issued by Jaguar dealing with 'E' Type Series 2 cars. It originally contained no illustrations. Jaguar recommended that if users wished to identify components by illustrations they should refer to two earlier 'E" type Parts Catalogues. To assist owners, all of those illustrations have been included in two supplements in the back of the book. You will find the original part numbers, which are still useful today because most parts vendors still use Jaguar's numbers to keep track of their parts. Use this book to make your search for parts both quicker and easier.
The only thing that I had a problem with is that the illustrations were not titled as to what year they applied to. Like if was an early series 2, it was equipped with 3 SU carbs as shown but no illustration was evident for later series 2s which had only 2 Strombergs and were completely different. Also it would have been more cohesive if the illustrations accompanied the various text rather than being grouped at the end of the book.
Parts manual has no Series 2 illustrations or references to Part numbers. Waste of time.
This XKE Series 2 parts manual is of limited use. It's just a list of XKE Jaguar Series 2 parts but there is no reference or links to any illustrations. All of the illustrations are from Series 1 cars and there are no illustrations of Series 2 cars. There is no key or way to look up a part from the illustrations. So it's impossible to look up a Series 2 part from any illustrations and find out the correct part number.
