    Basics are delivered

I purchased this for my 93 year old mother and should add that as with all eBay items, sight unseen... It is as advertised and would do the job for a younger, perhaps vision impaired person.... though it is too big. cumbersome and unwieldy for older people - who ironically, would be those most in need of it!! Delivery = great; quality=well, it does what it says but without too many bells and whistles!! In the meantime, I'll keep searching for a lightweight (which this was) manouverable (which this one wasn't for my mum), easy to use (which for my mum, this wasn't but that is not to say that it is "useless" by any means)..... Just be assured that it is going to "fit your bill"

    One Word to describe: Tacky

Feels cheap and tacky. Feels like I could get one from a one pound shop. Magnifier is one of those thin plastic sheets with concentric circles, not a convex lens. This means it bends and the magnified image is poor. Lots of glare off the LED lens on to the magnifier. Very difficult to balance the lens when using the neck strap. Was to be a gift to help my Grandad as he has difficulty with a small magnifier. Doubting whether to give this to him as it's so tacky. The old saying "you get what you pay for" applies.

  • Good tool and reader

Pitty the legs are not longer but i can fix that. I use it for soldering and small work. Good for book reading as well. Cheap and a good deal. Legs and frame seem solid lights ok as well.

  • Not bad value

Handy bit of kit which allows you o use it with a neck strap, leaving your hands free, or on a stand . It takes a little getting used to the magnification but once altered it becomes invaluable for close up work or reading

  • Magnifying viewer

Get two AAA batteries NOT AA Looks cheap BUT.... it’s light weight it has legs should you need them to make it stable, it can be used around your neck for ‘hands free’. It may have been cheaper than all the others but it’s fantastic value for money. I am one very happy customer, Thank You AAAAAA *********** Excellent

it is so much better this hands free system, instead of holding a magnifying glass when knitting so sewing you can just move faster i would recommend it to those that do craft work and are struggling with misty glasses

  • great for people with poor eyesight

both my husband and me use this great for reading in dim light areas as you can use the light. you cvan stand it over the page while on a flat surface or use the string to hold round your neck if your sitting down or traveling .

Bought for my cousin who’s partially sighted. She only has a little hand held one at the moment so hoping the larger screen and hands free will be of more use. Pleased with size of screen and quality.

  • Magnifying Glass

Bought for my Mother who has problems with eyesight. It helped her when she held it at a particular angle and distance from text but failed to help when placed as pictures suggest on lap or on desk as distortion of lens around edges interfered with clarity.
