Bought as an upgrade.
This Bosch grass trimmer was purchased to upgrade my old 2 cordless Bosch strimmers which go through blades like mad. What a mistake to make, this new one is awkward to use and impossible to get a decent edge trim, the head does not turn far enough to see the edge you are trimming. I am also disappointed with the blades, they dont last much longer than the red ones on my old strimmer. Fortunately I still have the bodies of the old ones and i have gone back to using them, the only plus being they work a lot longer using the 2AH battery that came with the new one instead of the 1.3AH batteries. So does anyone want a barebones Bosch Art 23 - 18 Li cos I dont!. Its turned out to be an expensive way of buying a new battery!Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Dissapointing
It's a great idea that doesn't work well. The single blade is expensive and not long lived. There's no guts in the motor. It's only merit is there's no spool of irritating line to tangle. Having said that I would go back to a spool machine next time. I have scored 'quality' as good - it's a Bosch so the quality is there, but performance is weak.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Far superior to those cheap ones.

Except...
Its ok if you dont want yards of cable under your feet, or to have to run a motor. The batter on this lasts about 35 minutes, suits me as am elderly and have to rest a bit after then anyway. I have three batteries as it takes hours to recharge one, and by using three I can get a lot of strimming done in one day. It will cut thick weeds if you cut downwards, and it isnt a heavy machine. The blade holder wears out easily and isnt replaceable as far as I can find. Needs to be if you want to trim grass edges. But ok so. by and large.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
