Very good can opener
It works! Very easy to use. I cannot grip with my hands. You lift a tin into position, pull small lever down, and it starts to cut immediately. There's no pressure needed at all. And the tin is held, so you don't need to hold it in place. Even when cutting is finished the tin stays held until you lift the arm. I was surprised that it leaves no sharp edges either. I'm glad I paid a little more. I used the additional jar opener yesterday, worked very well. Integral bottle opener a nice extra. I did have to figure out that you need to lift the magnet up and out to start, as I couldn't see that very clearly on the instructions. Very pleased with this can opener.

Didn’t work
The box was damaged and although it looked all brand new I tried the electric tin opener but it did not work, it makes a loud noise as if it’s breaking and doesn’t turn to open the tin... rubbish!:( I was very disappointed as it was a gift for my father who struggles to open his food as he has problems with his hands ... it was very very disappointing.

Efficient can opener
Needed a can opener that actually opens cans. Have tried so many manual ones and held battery ones but this one is brilliant - very quick and easy to use. Haven't tried all the other gadgets in the machine but they should be useful. The storage for the flex is too difficult for me so I don't bother with that. For the price it's a great piece of kit. Wish I'd got one years ago.

It's in the can - buy it!
I bought two other cheap can openers and all were hard work opening anything but the simplest tins. This machine operates easily and has the added bonus of the jar and bottle opener built in. For the older person these are great. The jar opener sits on top of the can opener like a cap and can spread a bit. The odd squeeze puts that to rights. I may be wrong but I think we will never need another can opener. It's quite expensive but that said it's an excellent piece of kit.

Great for older people.
Bought this for my elderly Aunt with arthritic hands She is delighted with it and can now open small tins of pilchards, beans etc . She has also made good use of the implements that are included. I think the only thing that could be improved is to make the lid holder magnetic. A great buy.

Bought this because my partner and I suffer from arthritis and we struggle to open can with a normal hand operated can opener , we just havn`t got the dexterity in our fingers or strength to turn a manual can opener so we thought we`d go for an electric one. We chose this after reading the spec on it. Its got other handy little gadgets included with it such as a detachable rubber jar lid opener which although would be helpful to most people still wasn`t going to help me and my partner due to the severity of our arthritis but it was there as an added extra .it has a bottle top screw lid helper and a pull lid helper for those cans which have the pull tab lids ,and this is quite a nifty little helper too. We bought it mainly though,because of our inability to open can lids and It does that job absolutely fine. Best to read the instructions on this first otherwise you could be confused as to how to connect the opener to a can, but once the penny drops ,from then on its plain sailing & easy.So,Just READ the instructions first a couple of times . Over all this can opener is well worth the money and we are extremely happy with it.

Perfect solution whn you can't use manual openers
Having problems with my hands and fingers seizing up, I could not use the manual tin opener very well. Searching the internet this seemed to be the perfect solution. Absolutely love it as its easy to use, takes seconds and looks smart and is from a quality brand. I wish I'd got it months ago.

DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN
The tin opener seems to work OK once you've worked out where to position the tin. The hook for pulling open tin lids seems to be pretty useless and the knife sharpener hasn't been tried yet. I've had mixed results with the small gadget for bottles; it's too big for screw-top wine bottles and too small for plastic milk bottle tops. The large rubber ring for opening screw-top jars does seem to work, at least on larger jars. I've rated the quality as good but have a niggling doubt about the longevity of the tin opening mechanism. To sum up, it's probably a good tin-opener, just ignore the add-ons.
