It features a built-in answering machine, call blocker, speakerphone, and wireless capabilities. This phone was manufactured in the UK and is designed for home use. In great used condition and comes with all wires and plugs. Each handset needs rechargeable batteries. These are quite cheap to get hold of but prolongs the life of your handsets. Collection is also possible from 5 mins from Jn 24 of M62 in Huddersfield.

Great Features
The features on this phone are excellent. The ability to blacklist unwanted callers is great as well as the way contacts are added automatically to the rest of the phones as you add them. Very clear speaker and the buttons are a nice size to use. Recommended.

Not easy to understand
Good points: Nice looking hand sets and good size buttons. Bad points: If you have one in the bedroom the base unit is constantly lit so it lights up the room whilst you are trying to sleep and you cannot turn the light off. Limited programming on it and the call screening turned out to be a bit of a pain, I found that people hung up rather than give the phone there name before being connected, and you do not know they are calling until they say a name in to the phone so you miss the majority of calls. If you are being bothered by cold callers it would work but it is easier to register with the Telephone Preference Scheme and stop cold calls that way. Overall my old phones were better and I would not have got these if I had used them before buying.

Phone great but just wish the instruction book was a bit more in depth.
I love the phone but I found the instruction book very basic, especially the Call Guardian part. I tried going on line to see if there was any more instructions but could only find a copy of the book I have already got. Felt very idiotic the first few times I got Announced calls, would love a bit more info on what happens if you change your mind about a caller and if there is another way to add them to the Allowed list.

A brilliant piece of equipment does exactly what it says and quite easy to set up and use this is my second purchase of one of these phones first for myself and the second for my 84 year old sister. NO MORE NUISANCE CALLS for her either.

Great features
The BT8600 ( I bought the QUAD set ) is great to the phone we had before, it does exactly what it say's on the box, enter your contacts, and away you go, it really does most of the work for you, for the first week we thought we had gone deaf, you can control who calls you, and block anybody you do not want to talk to, its not a bad looking phone, its about the size as you probably have now, I would really recommend this item, don't think just buy, you will not be disappointed

Poor Sound Quality
I purchased the BT8600 quad set but returned them as the volume level is ridiculously quiet! My present phone set has 5 volume settings and the highest volume level on these BT phones is lower than number one setting on my present gigaset phones. Also there is crackling if in a different room (4 metres away from base station). Incase it was my phone line I plugged my old phone set back in which worked perfectly well.overall I am not remotely impressed with BT phones I am afraid. Very disappointed the BT8600 series is for me undoubtedly the poorest quality phone I’ve ever purchased.

Quad BT phones
This phone is fantastic. It sorts out my calls. I have a VIP list. Those are family and friends that come straight through. All other calls are vetted by an automated service. After announcing who they are. I then decide if I want to take that call. Great.

unwanted calls
I needed to update my telephones as the old ones were not reliable any more I was having to run from room to room to find one that worked and answered an incoming call. These arrived in 2 days and after charging for 24hrs started to set them up by programming in all my known numbers. This took a bit of time but was simple to do. Set up call gardian for free with BT and we haven't had an unwanted call since. operating the phone and answering machine's functions seems really easy I don't even need to look at the instructions.
