These instruments feel well manufactured and strong. The mirror, an item which is often quite flimsy, is substantial. The points of the two probes are needle sharp although one had a slight 'burr' on the point, readily removed. I work in a dental practice and let me tell you, these work excellent! Fab little piece of kit to have at home to use.
I see the hyginiest every 3 months. This just makes it easier to clean the plaque and calculus which is normally found in the inside bottom arch of the teeth. The kit is good, sharp and gets off a lot. Seriously recommend. Obviously the ones used in the surgery are much better but £6, definitely worth it. Paying £2.99 for a set of dental instruments is mad. Paying £2.99 for a comprehensive set of hardened, polished, stainless steel instruments, is absolutely and positively mad. I repaired medical instruments for over 25yrs and I know rubbish when I see it. The particular set I received represents truly amazing value for money.
