It's even good for use with mobile applications.This turntable boasts a die-cast aluminum plate, a brushless multi-torque direct drive DC motor, and a removable universal cartridge mount. It also features an S-shaped tonearm with counterweight for adjustable tracking force and anti-skate adjustment. These combine to let the Audio-Technica AT-LP1240 turntable offer high-fidelity playback complete with the analog sound effects that are peculiar to records. It runs on a powerful, brushless, 3-phase, 16-pole DC motor. This gives it steady stability and simple back-cueing. It also provides for both forward and reverse play as well as quiet operation at all speeds.Its die-cast aluminum turntable platter is 332mm in diameter. The AT-LP1240 features 3-speed playback with full manual control. You can play 33.3, 45, and 78 RPM records on the LP1240. Besides the standard Start/Stop button, it also has helpful start and brake control adjustments. You can take advantage of the convenient illuminated speed indicator, adjustable pitch control with a quartz speed lock, and a hydraulically damped lift lever. It also has a locking tone armrest so that the cartridge and arm can remain safely immobilized during transport. A dedicated tone arm grounding lug makes operating the unit easier.Containing a switchable phono preamp built in with detachable RCA output cables, you can connect this device to a broad range of external speakers, receivers, or other A/V component equipment and systems. Its gloss black and silver design makes a sharp and stylish addition to the look, as well as the sound, of any audio system. These turntables not only play vinyl LPs with extraordinary sound quality, but they can also convert a record to digital files. The Audio Technica AT-LP1240-USB output connects to PC and Mac computers through USB and comes with Audacity, a desktop software for ripping records into MP3 and WAV files. The 16-bit selectable A/D, D/A 44.1 or 48 kHz USB 1.1 compliant computer interface is compatible with Mac OSX or higher and Windows XP or higher. In terms of Wow and Flutter, it boasts less than 0.1% WRMS of JIS WTD with 33 rotations per minute. It has a more than 55 dB of S/N, or signal-to-noise ratio. Original AT-LP1240-USB turntables come with a number of useful accessories from the manufacturer. You'll get a power cord, a USB cable, dual RCA female to 3.5mm mini-plug male and female stereo adapter cables, and a dual RCA male cable with a ground wire integrated. It includes a slip mat, dust cover, damped cast-aluminum anti-resonance turntable platter featuring stroboscopic markings, 45 RPM adapter, counterweight, and the headshell. A removable stylus target light for easier cuing in lower lighting conditions is also included. The new style of Audio Technica
Audio Technica 1240 turntable is great for a novice to experienced dj or an avid music listener . It is a quality direct drive table that seems almost like it was made directly for djing , it's super sexy design is great for the club. I like the digital pitch control although when transitioning from 1200's took some time to get used to . The buttons make a click sound so you know they were pushed . All the features you would want
A very professional turntable as the description says, looks awesome. Features such as an immediate stop function, handy when wanting to verify certain cuts on your vinyl. Also an ingenious light that directs illumination onto the vinyl for exact placement of cartridge/preferred song selection. Classy. Does not come with cartridge, plenty available out there for a reasonable price. Bottom line, sounds fantastic playing my 40 year old vinyls. Very pleased. Many artists releasing vinyls of their new releases. My first quality turntable.

Not Technics

Unbelievable Sound
This product is amazing, I am a novice with vinyls, I was able to order a cartridge/needle ( SHURE M44-7) after finding out the turntable didn't come with one.
