used it but not sure how long it will last

I have given this glue all positive marks so far but to be honest I have only just put it on a pair of wellies and have not even tried wearing them yet so cannot say if it actually is value for money or not. The wellies were very expensive and yet my local menders said there was nothing they could do about the small hole which appeared on the heel so am trying this glue to see if it does work. I only purchased the small tube (5ml) which I have used all by applying and building up both backs of heels and to reinforce with one layer on the ball of the foot where I can see it is starting to wear thin. the you tube film was very helpful showing me to apply some selotape around the back of the heel to create a clean line and it came off quite easily once the glue was dry. Fingers crossed it will protect my feet from getting wet on more than one occasion. I am hoping to be able to use them from now on and let you know how long the repair lasted for in due course Update - I have been wearing the wellies I repaired every day for dog walking and 6 weeks in and it seems to be holding fast although I will have to buy more now as the back seam has split on my pricey boots but at least I know I can repair them instead of having to buy new ones

    Not what I expected

Had a virtually brand new set of hunter boots that had split right on the toe crease of the boot. Ofter getting the smallest amount of Stormsure in a tube, which put me on the back foot because the instructions were that small they couldn’t be read .......? I trolled the Internet got the user instructions and followed them to the latter, and put this Stormsure into action, waited 36 hrs (plenty of time to cure) and was impressed by the initial results. I good walk with the dog , 1 good foot in a steam 6 inshes deep....... leaking like a broken colander....... back to puncture repair kit me thinks

  • So Far, So Good.

In order to write this, I had to tick a few boxes agreeing with certain statements: 1) Would I recommend Stormsure Flexible? 2) Is it good value? 3) Is it good quality? Addressing Number 3 first. As far as I have used Stormsure Flexible it seems excellent. It has rebuilt the heels of some shoes with a single-layer application and seems quite abrasion-resistant based on the trouble I had power-sanding the result into shape. The real question for me is how well it will remain stuck to the shoe in normal use. If all goes well the answers to Number 1 and Number 2 will be Yes and Yes. I have given this product 4 stars only because I do not yet know if it is AMAZING!

  • Gave my wellies an extended life.

It worked for a small split in my favoured storm wellies, I paddle through lots of muddy water during my dog walking and it has kept my foot dry. I did have to apply it twice. I bought the clear and it is unnoticeable, better than having to buy a new pair of wellies this winter.

  • Effective cheap repair solution

Managed to fix my expensive neoprene Wellington boots using this product even though they were holed in 2 places. Product is easy to apply although best to watch YouTube videos first for tips and helpful instructions. Store in freezer so you can use it again. Most impressed with this product.

  • Split wellies.

Stormsure works very well on leaking wellies particularly where there is no movement. Repairing a split where there is flexing requires a thick layer of product, which does work but the result is quite ugly. I wouldn't bother to buy this product for cheap wellies, I'd get a new pair on ebay, Le Chameaus or Hunters then definitely worth a try.

  • Stormsure - sure does!

Used this stuff on the edge of my Adidas Boxfit 3 boxing boots as the sole / side had started to come away. These are the best boxing boots I've ever owned and they don't make them anymore so I wanted to try and save them by any means neccessary. I was a bit wary of using Stormsure as I presumed that, in reality, it would just be a bit like superglue. However, this stuff does exactly what it says on the tin (or tube in this case). I think the important bit to note is that you must ensure you clamp both surfaces together and leave it overnight as instructed. That's what I did roughly 5 weeks ago and I've since done circa 15 boxing sessions and the repair has held good. Well worth the money!

  • Worked well on wellingtons

Applied product to a leaking Wellington boot. It survived working in mud and water with no sign of a leak. It's useful that it comes in 3 separate tubes so that it can't all go hard while stored!

  • be aware of the sizes .....

The glue arrived in a much smaller tube than I expected. I realise the description does say 5g which is what the tube is. It's just that photo rather exaggerates the size that you will get. On checking, I found that other retail packaging for cards of 3 x 5g or a single tube of 15g. Just be aware, so you get the amount of glue you need.

  • Best repair glue I have ever used.

I have used this as an extra glue on self adhesive patches on a canvas cover and on a sail, repaired a pair of merrell boots where the sole around the toes had parted and restored water proofness.
