Fine attempt to retain nostalgic BB in an updated model
Upgrading from a 'naughties' BB model, I thought this sleek contender was a fine attempt! It does a commendable job of clutching fond remnants of the classic BB of yore, whilst pushing forward to sit amongst its modern-day contemporaries. The physical keyboard is greatly improved, with larger and more ergonomic keys—although for that reason alone I'd imagine it cannot be considered compact in the sense of other touch-screen only brands. I really like it, however the only fault I find in it is the inordinate length of time it takes to turn the thing on/off. My former phone perked up immediately but this take at least half a minute—if more! It also has an 18 char. limit on combined First+Last Name entries in the Contact, although concede this could be to do with the limitations of SIM card memory—which I am still using as are yet to download my contacts to the phone in the transfer. Early days for me, but all in all an elegant piece of kit.
