  • Smaller than seems; not recommend for larger birds.

After actually putting this to some use and having some realistic experience with this coop, I feel ready to write a review! - This Coop is smaller than it seems it's fairly narrow and the roam area isn't very big. Please take this into consideration when you are considering this Coop for your chickens. If you have larger breeds, i would not recommend this one at all. If you have it already, no more than 2 in this, and really only one would be plausible. This might be okay for a set of 2-3 Bantam chickens. So keep this in mind while considering this coop. I will be probably keeping this for a quarantine or infirmary for sick chickens, as I am getting a bigger one for my girls. - The roosting bars are too narrow for bigger chickens. - The door security is also weak. I have placed additional latches to ensure the doors are not easily. manipulated and to add extra strength. This includes the sliding window. - The sliding doors and window stick and are oddly warped. the sliding goes skwiff. I had to sand down the doors to ensure it will actually close, where while testing it before putting the coop together, the door would stick. - The ramp needs extra support as well. The ramp is very wobbly. I would also recommend putting extra rungs on it, as the gap makes the chicken's feet slip, and they sort of fall off. - Room for the feeder and water is very tight. So consider this as well. The space is small and not a lot of room to manoeuvre for chickens and feeders/drinkers. - The wood splits easily, so be careful with putting it together. I currently have a split in the nesting box lid. - I feel like the roosting bars are also too low. The chickens just piled up the bedding underneath and i think they just bed on that, with the roosting bars. I have also replaced the roosting bars it came with with some thicker dowel rods, to allow for more comfort for their feet. - I also recommend reinforcing the roof bits to make sure no leaks. - Also you will need to add additional security reinforcement around for any predators. - the grating on the sides is already rusting. (I've only had it about 3 months) and I have had a couple of the wires on that break. Over all, I think this is a cute coop but it is not suitable for non-bantam chicken size breeds. Being I have only had it a couple of months, I can't testify to the durability. I do worry about keeping the girls warm in this one, when winter comes, as the door has a gap (the one with the window, not the main one into the run area); the sliding window doesn't want to always close completely. The sliding door and window cover are very finicky and I don't like them. I feel like I can't recommend this one, unless you are just starting out and only going to have a couple of small chickens (Bantams). While the style is cute, not bad for a backyard with a couple of small chickens. Either way, I would get a secondary run if you are using this coop. OR if this will be a second coop for maybe a sick chicken or isolation coop. So just keep these things in mind if you are considering. While it is a cute one, it's smaller than it seems, and rather cramped for larger birds.

  • smaller

Not suitable for outdoors in the UK. Lightweight wood, had to paint it all. The true width is not 70cm, the roof is 68, the pen 55 and internal run 50 cm wide. The length is 155cm + nest box. I must stop buying stuff from China.

Do not buy, I feel ripped off with the quality. Poor quality wood and very poor finish and size. One good gust of wind and it be gone.
