Condition:
Anodised aluminium finish with plastic coating. These will fit bars 30 mm wide x 35 mm high. Not suitable for Aero bars. Bar extends out 65 cm and bar that fits on rack is 110 cm long. It is not a roof rack system it attaches to your existing roof rack.

Lightweight, easy to fit and use
Good value for money and takes the weight out of loading. I fixed mine to the side of the roof bar using heavy duty cable ties, looks better, more aerodynamic and works a treat. Completely necessary piece of equipment for loading heavy kayaks on to high vehicles - it had enabled me to be self sufficient. Well designed and easy to put on roof, and then to use. A very able piece of kit.
A very able piece of kit. The pictures do not do it justice! It is well made, of quality materials. It allows me to load my Ocean Kayak Malibu Two on top of the van without assistance and without running the risk of damaging my back. The OK MalibuTwo is long, heavy and tended to roll around whilst trying to load before using the RUK Assister. To be honest I did hesitate at the price but glad I bought it. Good idea poorly engineered.
This is a very good idea, however it is spoiled by the poor manufacturing quality and the inadequate press button locking device which will fail after only a few uses. I had to grind down the inner sliding tube to get it to slide freely then replace the locking button with a bolt and finger wheel so that it worked properly.
